Match Report: Hope United 1-1 MYJ-GM

MYJ-GM were moments away from securing back-to-back wins but were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Hope United in a tense Mumbai Premier League clash.

After a cagey first half where neither side managed to break the deadlock, MYJ thought they had taken the lead just after the restart, but the goal was disallowed for a foul inside the box. The breakthrough finally came in the 71st minute when Kamlesh surged forward and played a quick one-two with Kamran before delivering a precise low cross across the box. Shamer arrived at the far post to tap home and put MYJ in front.

MYJ's defensive resilience was tested further when Palash was sent off in the 90th minute for a second yellow due to time-wasting. Deep into stoppage time, Hope United found a dramatic equalizer when a deflected cross fell awkwardly in the box, and despite Umesh’s attempted clearance, the ball got stuck, allowing Asad to tap in from close range.

The result keeps MYJ at fourth place in the standings, and just 3 points behind league leaders.

FT: Hope United 1-1 MYJ-GM (Shamer 71')
