Kamlesh, Tanmay shine with brace as MYJGMSC beat Sellebrity FC

MYJ-GMSC picked up a crucial 2-1 win over Mumbai City FC to move to the top of the Mumbai Premier League standings. With one round of fixtures left, the Mighty Lions now hold a two-point lead and are just a draw away from clinching the league title.

The in-form MYJ side started strong, dominating possession early in the game. Their breakthrough came in the 23rd minute, when Vidipt picked out Jay Bhavnani inside the box, who calmly slotted past the keeper to make it 1-0. However, the young Islanders struck back soon after, as a corner from Omkar Talkar found its way directly into the net to level the score.

The second half saw MYJ-GMSC continue to push forward with purpose. Their persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Umesh threaded a precise pass to Siddharth on the wing. His low cross deflected off a defender, and Tejas was quick to react, firing home the winner.

With this result, MYJ-GMSC head into the final game of the season against title challengers India On Track knowing that a draw will be enough to secure the championship.
