MYJ-GMSC suffered a frustrating setback in what was deemed a must-win encounter, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by AIYFA Skyhawks today.
The Mighty Lions will undoubtedly feel that two valuable points slipped through their grasp, particularly after conceding a late equalizer that denied them a crucial victory.
The match presented an early challenge for MYJ-GMSC when Sujal Ghanekar had to be substituted due to injury around the half-hour mark. However, his replacement, Kamran Ansari, made an almost immediate impact, scoring just a couple of minutes after coming onto the pitch to give MYJ-GMSC the lead and seemingly set them on course for victory.
Despite their best efforts to find another goal and hold onto the lead, AIYFA Skyhawks found a way back into the game late in the second half, netting an equalizer that left MYJ-GMSC with only a share of the spoils.
