The Blue Cubs League 2025 is presented and organized by MYJ Football Club as per the AIFF Blue Cubs Program and is affiliated to the Mumbai Football Association (MFA). Participating clubs will benefit through points from the AIFF Accreditation Programme.
When does the league start? February 18, 2025.
Where and when will the League be played? The league will be played at St Francis D’assisi Grounds, Borivali West (astroturf) with games to be scheduled between 5pm and 8pm.
What is the format of the League? Round robin league format with one League Winner. Thereafter a knockout round with the top 4 teams (semi finals and final) to determine the Cup Winner.
Which clubs can participate? Participation is open to all clubs and football teams. Your club or team needn’t be affiliated to any state association.
What are the age categories, formats and year of birth of the players? Under 9 (5 vs 5) - Year of Birth: 2016 and 2017 Under 11 (7 vs 7) - Year of Birth: 2014 and 2015
Is there a minimum number of players required to be registered? Yes. Each team must register a minimum of 10 players in the U-9 categories, and a minimum of 14 players in the U-11 category. Maximum squad size: U-9 - 14; U-11 - 21
What is the match duration? U-9: Each match will consist of two 12-minute halves with a 4-minute break in between. U-11: Each match will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute break in between.
Are rolling substitutions allowed? Of course. We believe that every player deserves a chance to showcase his/her talent.
Which ball size will be used? U-9 - Size 3; U-11 - Size 4
How many matches does a team get to play? We aim to have 20 teams registered in each category. If this target is met, each team will play a minimum of 19 matches. However, since registrations may vary, we will strive to maximize the number of games to ensure our young stars gain valuable exposure and experience.
Is there a Player of the Match Award? Yes. Every game will have a Player of the Match awarded.
What other prizes or awards can you look forward to? Winners of the League and Cup will receive a trophy and each player will receive a medal. Other awards - best player, best goalkeeper, Golden Boot winner and most promising player. Participation certificates will be given to all.
What is the maximum number of teams per category in the League? Under 9 - 24 Under 11 - 22
How does a club register for the League? Registration for the league needs to be done via the AIFF Blue Clubs App only. The App is free and available for download on the PlayStore and App Store. We’ll reach out and help you register your team and players when you are ready.
What is the registration amount? Rs. 3,000/- per player for all categories The above is non refundable and to be paid to MYJ Football Club directly.
When is the last date for registration? February 3, 2025.
When will the fixtures be ready? The entire league schedule and fixtures will be available by February 6, 2025. No adjustments in fixtures on club’s request will be entertained.
Will there be scouts present? Yes. Scouts and coaches from clubs all over the city will be present during the tournament.
