We secured our first-ever win in the I-League 2 with a strong 2-1 victory over NEROCA FC at Cooperage.
We started the game with intent and were rewarded in the 35th minute when Arif Shaikh finished off a well-worked move to give us the lead. At the other end, our keeper Paramjeet Singh made some crucial saves to ensure we went into the break ahead.
We carried the momentum into the second half and doubled our lead early on, with Arvindraj heading home to make it 2-0. We continued to push forward and came close to adding a third, hitting the crossbar during a dominant spell.
NEROCA pulled one back late in the game, but we stayed composed and saw out the match to secure all three points.
A historic win for us in our debut campaign, and we now look to build on this momentum in the upcoming fixtures away from home.
