We suffered a 3-0 defeat to Hope United in our Mumbai Premier League playoff clash at Cooperage, bringing an end to our unbeaten run in the competition.
With an important I-League 2 fixture ahead, we rotated the squad, and Hope United capitalised—controlling possession and creating the better chances. Hope took the lead in the 19th minute and doubled it from the penalty spot before halftime.
We looked to respond in the second half and tried to build momentum going forward, but couldn’t find a breakthrough. Hope added a third goal from another penalty in the 71st minute to seal the result.
The match ended on a concerning note as Himanshu Patil picked up an injury late on. Everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.
We now shift our focus to the upcoming I-League 2 fixture at home on the 9th of April as we aim to bounce back stronger.
